Xiaomi has announced its most impressive camera smartphone, the Xiaomi 12s Ultra.
The brand held a launch event on July 4th to release three new smartphones under the Xiaomi 12s series. These are the Xiaomi 12s, Xiaomi 12s Pro, and Xiaomi 12s Ultra.
Xiaomi 12s ultra equipped with everything you need for a flagship phone. It includes a 1-inch 50MP camera sensor, Snapdragon 8+Gen 1, and all the new features.
The brand compares its Xiaomi 12s ultra camera with the iPhone 13 model. That means it has something excellent!

Xiaomi has released its first smartphone with a giant 1-inch camera sensor. This is not the first time a company has packed a 1-inch sensor into a smartphone camera. Sony did it last year.

The Xiaomi 12S Ultra offers a 1-inch larger SONY IMX989 sensor. However, The Verge find that the iPhone 13 Pro max has a similar 1/1.65 camera sensor. Like digital DSLR camera system, larger camera sensors can create brighter and more detailed images.
Xiaomi collaborated with German-based high-end camera manufacturer Leica to build a triple rear camera setup.
The primary lens is a 50.3-megapixel f/1.9 aperture based on a 23 mm wide sensor. At the same time, the other lenses are the same 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle and periscope sensors. The Periscope lens comes with 5x optical and 120x digital zoom capabilities. That could capture finer details in photos than its previous 100x optical zoom supported by the Xiaomi 12 smartphone.
There are many things left to discuss that Xiaomi highlighted in their Mi 12s ultra advertisement.
Most importantly, taking steady photos while skiing is difficult. However, with the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, you can take super steady photos. Their wide and periscope lenses are OIS (optical image stabilization) supported.
Xiaomi 12s ultra supports an 8K video recording feature.
There are few smartphones in the market that supports 8K video recording feature. Samsung galaxy S21 Ultra was supposed to got a huge attention in 8K video recording capabilities, a feature not found on many other smartphone models. The Xiaomi 12s Ultra similarly supports an 8K video recording feature with 24 frames per second.
You can take advantage of 60fps in 4k resolution or 240 fps in 1080p resolution. Also, you don't have to worry about shaking or sound quality since it supports Dolby Vision and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization).
On the front side is a 32-megapixel f/2.5 aperture 26 mm sensor. The camera has all the latest features, including Dolby Vision, short video recording, and portrait mode

Besides its amazing camera specifications, the Xiaomi 12s Ultra has a 6.73-inch large 20:9 (1440 x 3200 pixel) AMOLED display. This display features 1500 nits of peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, 120 Hz screen refresh rate, and more.
Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 Processor
Aside from the camera specification, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra has god-damn performance. It has a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 processor. It's quite a new chip in the smartphone industry, since we're waiting for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 is more optimized than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
The processor has an Octa-core CPU that runs at 3.19GHz and has a 4 nm architecture. The graphics unit also has a strong on-demand Adreno730 GPU.
Xiaomi's 12s Ultra is powered by a Li-Po, 4,860mah battery. It supports fast charging at 67W and 50W wireless. Also, it supports IP68 water-resistant. The phone comes with miui 13 and android 12.

Xiaomi is ready to sell the first few units of the Xiaomi 12s ultra phone in China. In contrast, you can't get its high variant at the launch stage. Xiaomi 12s Ultra 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage price in China is around $900. You can now pay 100 RMB for Xiaomi 12s ultra preorder, pre-sale will start on July 7th.
Xiaomi's 12s ultra (12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage) will sell for 6,999 yuan (around USD 1050).
The Xiaomi 12s and 12s Pro are also inexpensive alternatives to the Mi 12s Ultra.
Both devices offer great features like the Snapdragon 8+Gen 1, but with smaller screen sizes and camera sensors. The Xiaomi 12s and 12s Pro come with a 1/1.28-inch camera sensor, which is larger than most flagship smartphones. The Xiaomi 12s has a 6.2-inch AMOLED display, while the Xiaomi 12s Pro has a 6.73-inch display.
Xiaomi 12s will cost approximately 3,999 (approximately USD 600), while Xiaomi 12s Pro will cost approximately 4,699 (approximately USD 700).
