Just woke up and came across this video. At first, I did not think this could be a graphical content, but when I watched it, I was scared. I expected that FB would at least flag it or hide notifying inappropriate content, but their systems failed here. I have spent the day so poorly that I can’t even focus on my prayers or my work, because this video has been on my mind for hours. (I don’t want to comment on anything about this video because I feel inferior whenever it comes to my mind.)

A video has gained widespread attention on Facebook, depicting a woman fatally attacking a man with a knife. |
I have been experiencing various problems due to excessive use of this platform. From anxiety to negativity, Facebook has distracted me from focusing on my academics and career goals.
I know they have gone through several times in the past manipulating and showing inappropriate content to children, but if this persists again and again, then this platform will no longer be suitable for many young people.
Whatever. I know the system behind FB runs entirely by AI. But the worst part is that when I reported this video to their system to have a check, they did nothing to hide or remove this content. Yes, this video is still available everywhere. I had experienced the same thing with TikTok, but a platform such as FB could be so weak and open, I never thought that. I like Reddit in this case for providing an NSFW (Not Safe For Work) option in the settings, which allows you to decide whether to see graphical/inappropriate content.
I would like to end this by saying that I am no longer using such a distressing platform, which fails to ensure users' safety and security in the first place. This platform is stealing millions of data points from our chats (just ask your friend which laptop you want to buy and refresh your feed). You are going to spend your valuable time watching posts that are frequent in the theme of politics, sports, rumors, and negativity nowadays. Now you would say whatever I follow, I get in my feed. Then what about creating a new account and giving it a check by yourself? (Stop commenting, why are you writing this in FB as this will be my final post here.)
