Grameenphone sets the minimum recharge limit at Tk 20.

GP limits recharge amount at 20 TK
Grameenphone is the leading telecom operators in Bangladesh.

Grameenphone, Bangladesh's largest telecom operator, limits the minimum mobile recharge amount from 10 TK to 20 TK.

This decision was made on July 1, and GP SIM users will be notified individually via SMS in the coming days.

Mohammad Hasan, Grameenphone's head of external communications, explained that this decision was made to simplify things and provide more services to end users.

Customers can now get the minute pack for TK 14 and TK 16 for less than TK 20, which was previously TK 20.

On the other hand, GP users can now enjoy 1 paisa/sec for two to three days by recharging TK 21 or TK 29.

Earlier, BTRC had stopped selling new Grameen SIM connections across the country due to Grameenphone's poor network service.

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has fined four mobile phone operators Tk 7.65 crore after seizing SIMs used in illegal Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services.

Above all, Grameenphone is going through a tough situation amid the new connection banned across the country by the BTRC and has to pay more than a million BDT in fines.
